Good To Know

  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £30 per pet, per stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Travel cot and highchair available for £10, subject to availability. Must be booked at the time of booking, is not made available in the apartment otherwise. Guest to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

: We were a group of 9 (4 adults, 5 children). The apartment had plenty of space, with good sized bedrooms and a big balcony. The Smart TV was nice and big and perfect for the kids. The broadband was really good, even with multiple devices connected. Location-wise it’s perfect and the car parking space was ideal as it was located right next to the lift. The two ladies at the front desk were super helpful. The pool was great, albeit limited ‘slots’ available. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent accommodation, brilliant position close to the beach and shops/restaurants. Certainly would recommend to others . We found reception were very helpful, particularly Kate who assisted us in arranging parking for our daughter and young family. The apartment itself was excellent for a family with space for all, and well equipped.

Excellent and well appointed apartment situated within a 5 minute walk from the exceptional Woolacombe beach. The indoor pool was easy to book and was beautifully clean and modern. The views from No.8 were gorgeous of the hills and the sea. The underground parking was easy to access and essential in the Woolacombe area.

Byron is a stunning development in an outstanding location just a minute from the beautiful beach. The team on-site are extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the apartment rivals the very best 5 star hotels we have ever stayed in. Absolutely faultless!! Also on-site car charging for electric cars which is a huge bonus as the nearest charger is 20 minutes away outside of Byron for an iPace. We also arranged in-apartment dining with Coastal Cooks who arrive and cook and serve you and your guests the most exquisite food you can imagine. We are all plant based and these top chefs did not disappoint!! They also tidy everything away so you simply eat and enjoy! 100% worth treating yourselves to!! Overall an unrivalled stay with the very best service from Byron Holiday Lets, Byron guest services and their wonderful cleaning services!! We will definitely be back very soon.. if we can find availability!!

This is a beautiful modern apartment on the top floor of the Challacombe block at Byron with 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuites, and a family bathroom. There is acres of space for 8 with a great south-facing balcony giving views of the sea and hills. It's less than 4 minutes to the nearest part of the beach and 2 minutes from the shops and restaurants. The kitchen area is very well equipped with all modern appliances, even a wine cooler cabinet to keep the Rosé at a perfect temperature to drink as you watch the sun setting from the balcony! We loved it so much that we tried to book for next year but unfortunately it's already let! BOOK EARLY! Next year we've had to take 2 apartments but we can't wait to come again. 5* we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Lovely apartment, all amenities as needed. Really impressed with the little touches such a chalks for the kids and equipment to take on the beach. Pool facilities were fantastic and even though Covid meant having to be limited to a slot, to have the space to ourselves was an added bonus! We had a great stay and would highly recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at Challacombe 8 over Oct half term and I can honestly say the apartment and location were amongst the best in North Devon. Woolacombe beach was on the doorstep together with some truly spectacular walks only a few minutes away. Facilities (especially the pool) at Byron were super handy on the rainy days meaning it’s an all weather vacation.

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
