A beautiful modern, first floor, four double bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and open plan living space, there is also a large outdoor space via your balcony to enjoy taking in wonderful valley views. A fantastic place to stay, providing all you need for your holiday in Woolacombe! This property offers a minimum 5 night stay in low season.

Good To Know


  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £30 per pet, per stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Travel cot and highchair available for £10, subject to availability. Must be booked at the time of booking, is not made available in the apartment otherwise. Guest to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

The apartment was fabulous - clean, spacious and well-equipped. Kate and Inger at reception were extremely helpful in resolving the issue of an additional key that made the last few days of our stay so much more enjoyable. Their friendliness and professionalism were much appreciated, as was the availability of the leisure facilities for guests. The pre-arrival information was comprehensive and very useful.

Beautiful apartment, very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We are regular visitors to Byron but this was our first time in this apartment as we wanted our kids and grandchildren to join us at the weekend. Even when we had 8 of us in the apartment (and 2 dogs) it still felt spacious and worked really well for us with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The apartment was perfect. Lots of space (there was 8 of us), beautiful modern decor and every piece of equipment you could think of. The kitchen was high end and has made us want a new hob oven and microwave! The pool and sauna area is lovely, i was fortunate to get an early morning swim by myself. Extremely well organised admission and departure process with good communication throughout.

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
