Good To Know


  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £30 per pet, per stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Travel cot and highchair available for £10, subject to availability. Must be booked at the time of booking, is not made available in the apartment otherwise. Guest to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

A wonderful stay! We didn't know the area or the apartments and booked last minute which was the best decision. A wonderfully comfortable stay in an immaculate apartment which has been so thoughtfully furnished and equipped. Our little dog loved his time, too and the fact it's only a few minutes walk to the most stunning beach was the icing on the cake. Great to have free parking, too.

We had the most wonderful stay at 2 Challacombe. The apartment was spotlessly clean and so comfortable with the pool and sauna an added bonus. The reception staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Well equipped . Modern ,Clean , light and airy. Very good showers. Close to amenities. Complimentary tea ,coffee milk etc. Nice outside space. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable apartment in an ideal location for the beach & town. Plenty of space inside & out on the terrace. Perfect for our dog who could wander safely outside. Quiet location. Comfortable beds. & living area. We will definitely return,It was very useful to have storage for body boards & the hot outdoor shower was very handy when returning from the beach. I would highly recommend this accommodation to friends & family.

What a lovely apartment everything we needed and more, pristine clean. I can’t honestly complain about anything even left us dishwasher tablets - washing up liquid - coffee - tea bags - milk - washing liquid - even a tray of ice. We will definitely be back with the dog.

Lovely apartment with everything needed for a perfect stay. Location couldn't have been better as we were moments from the beach, places to eat and roads to the countryside. Parking on site. Shower pressure very good and everything clean and comfortable. The weather was remarkable, so the bi folding doors were appreciated. Excellent stay.

We've had a lovely week in the apartment. Highlights were walks to Croyde, curry on the beach at Barricane and supper at Tides Inn. A super apartment. We've loved being so close to the beach.

Lovely apartment which is comfortable, well positioned with good facilities. Bi fold doors open up across whole width of apartment with access onto patio which is lovely. Ideal for dogs as easy access to beach and costal paths with shower on way back into Byron site to wash sandy paws. Easy access from car park via lift or stairs

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
