Challacombe 1 is a beautifully presented two bedroom ground floor apartment with hillside views. The apartment has bi-fold doors opening onto a private patio area and looking onto the Leisure Deck. A perfect spot to unwind. Boasting a fully equipped modern kitchen which includes a microwave, washing machine, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. A king size bed in the master bedroom and link beds in the second bedroom making a super king bed, 2 Smart TV’s, Wi-Fi , Netflix, a travel cot and high chair.

  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool, gym and sauna are included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • Travel cot and high chair are available. Please book at the time of booking. Guests will need to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

The Byron complex is very easy to find and the underground car park with allocated bays is a huge advantage. The apartment itself was immaculate with good quality appliances and spotlessly clean. Our apartment opened up onto a little shared courtyard, which though we couldn't see the sea was pleasant enough. The easy access steps took us straight down to the road and the couple of minutes walk to the shops and beach. Though we didn't have time to use the spa, we were thoroughly impressed with the facilities and aim to book again. Reply from Byron: Thank you for staying with us! We had a fantastic time staying at Byron in Woolacombe. 1 Challacombe is a lovely self catering apartments with outside space and a lovely view of the hills opposite . Everything was clean and comfortable and we were so impressed with the effort that had been put into the apartment complex being COVID secure. The apartment was well equipped and had a lovely outside terrace. An allocated parking space was a real plus in Woolacombe in the summer holidays. I would thoroughly recommend Byron as ‘the’ self catering place to stay in Woolacombe.

Absolutely loved our stay. The apartment was very clean, well equipped (smart TVs were excellent especially with our 2 small children for mornings and evenings) and very comfortable. Fantastic location (beach is genuinely a 2 minute walk) and easy access with stairs and lifts. All instructions and guides (pre arrival pack, site map, etc) were easy to follow and booking of site amenities was easy online. Loved it and can’t think of anywhere better to stay; we look forward to staying here again in future.

We had a very enjoyable stay at No.1 Challacombe. The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped with everything you’d need for your stay. The views are great from the apartment and the ground floor location with access to the communal courtyard worked perfectly for us. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach and a two minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. We’d definitely look to stay here again.

A great location and a beautifully clean apartment. Bedding and towels were top of the range. It was perfect for 2 couples and a lovely spot to relax in the evenings. We cooked and had fish and chips because the restaurants were busy. We were able to enjoy the outside space too. We would love to come back and have recommended it to others!

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
