Good To Know

  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £30 per pet, per stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Travel cot and highchair available for £10, subject to availability. Must be booked at the time of booking, is not made available in the apartment otherwise. Guest to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

Lovely apartment with lots of room even when you have 8 guests and 2 dogs. It is beautifully furnished and equipped. Team at Byron are really helpful and it is well positioned for access to beach and all amenities. Easy to park - we never use the car once we have arrived as apartment, facilities and position are so good.

We absolutely loved the apartment. It was such a good size for us and each couple had their own bathroom which was brilliant. The large living/dining/kitchen space was great for all the family to sit together and the south facing balcony was stunning. Sadly the weather wasn't great - but this didn't spoil our weekend!

We had a lovely family stay in challacombe 5. This is our 3rd year in this apartment and it continues to be clean modern and so we'll.equipped for a week away. We love.to use the swimming pool and we managed to fit in plenty of swimming . We were initially advises that the pool could only.be booked.twice during the week but kept.checking in an evening and if there were slots remaining were able.to use them . Close to the village so that our 11 year old.could have some independence doing some shopping.

This was an excellent apartment in a great central location. The beach was a minutes walk away and what a beach it is a Woolacombe ! One of the best beaches I have been on, in a very long time. Great for kids and all the family. 👏

Lovely apartment with nice views over the hills (and a tiny bit of sea, if you stand in the right place!) Lots of space and very light and airy. The swimming pool was lovely, and the onsite outdoor shower was useful.

Wow!! Just returned from a fabulous stay in Woolacombe at 5 Challacombe. A short walk to the beach from an apartment that was equipped and furnished to a 'home from home' standard. The apartment was spacious - particularly the living area where bi-folding sets of doors allowed us to enjoy the sunny balcony from morning to evening - we could even see the sea though the views of the surrounding hills was truly stunning. We made use of the indoor pool and sauna each day - either to start the day or relax after a day out exploring. Woolacombe's shops, cafes and restaurants were also 'just out of the door' and we enjoyed a lovely evening at Brundles, the food was great - part of Byron facilities too. We will definitely return. Well organised booking, very helpful in replying quickly to email enquiries. Beautiful apartment. Well looked after and very clean. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Always love staying in Woolacombe but this is the first time we’ve stayed in the village and so glad we chose Byron. It was so stress free not having to worry about parking with everything close by.

Lovely place to stay! Really modern but cosy, the beds are so comfortable. Really spacious and lots of natural light in the kitchen/lounge. Not even a 5 minute walk to the beach, which is gorgeous! I really enjoyed my stay here, felt really safe and clean. Thank you! I’ll definitely be back :)

A really wonderful stay. - Olivia the reservation manager was excellent. Quick responses, pleasant tone and helped us in every way we needed. - well equipped kitchen - light bright airy living space - plentiful lounge seating - well priced - well thought out for children - brundles was a great place for drink, breakfast, lunch and dinner (we tried it all!) - majority of rooms were en suite which was great - dog friendly - excellent location

Beautiful, spotless, comfortable and well equipped apartment. 2 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. Recommend the on site restaurant. Good quality kitchen equipment, loads of space. Flat was very quiet in great development with easy parking. Staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Enjoy the stunning Woolacombe beach with its 3 miles of gently sloping golden sands framed within the glorious greenery of Devon’s countryside.

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
