  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, filter coffee, and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool, gym and sauna are included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £30 per pet, per stay.
  • Travel cot and highchair are not available for this property. Guest to bring their own if required.
  • This property is subject to a £200 refundable security deposit.

The apartment was well presented, clean and well equipped. It was just one flight of steps or one floor using the lift from the car park with our reserved space. Beside the flat was a sunny patio garden area with furniture. It also had a surf shack with board, wind breaks, mallet, umbrella, bats, bucket and spade. There was a pool, gym, games room with pool and table football near reception, but we had no time to use them. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The flat was yards from the bars and shops and only a few minutes walk from the beach. We had a wonderful time and want to return next year.

What a wonderful place to stay. Superb apartment which is beautifully fitted out, all very tasteful. All facilities are excellent, we loved the gym and pool. Underground parking was very good and they even had a doggie shower so our Labrador was happy too! All this and a stones throw from the most amazing beach. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and made us feel very welcomed. All in all a 10 out of 10 experience. We will be back.

Very nice apartment. Beds so comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud. Well located to hot outside shower and having a patio was very nice. Easy walk to car park and lift also just there. So easy to walk to restaurants and beach. Cooking facilities excellent. And very nice welcome with tea/coffee and milk.

The apartment was lovely, and perfect for our needs. Our kids loved meeting other children in the shared courtyard, and we used the pool extensively. We also loved being so close to the beach. The apartment was well equipped and we appreciated the care package of essentials on arrival.

Excellent apartment, very clean, well prepared and stocked. Everything in great working order. A large fridge was very appropriate and often overlooked. We had a fantastic holiday, weather kind and apartment in a fabulous location. Apartment also dog friendly and great outside shower facilities for us and dog when coming off the beach. We will be returning, most definitely.

Excellent, well equipped and very clean apartment just minutes from the village centre and the beach. We didn't have a sea view but the patio doors on to the south facing deck area made up for that. All the administration from Byron was very efficient and all the Covid measures were well implemented and carried out.

I am a regular visitor to Woolacombe but this was my first time staying at Byron. The apartment is well situated and it’s position and layout worked well for us and our 2 dogs The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we made good use of the terrace which gets the sun all day. We took our own dog fence for the terrace so we could keep the dogs secure and had the bifold doors most of the time.

Really luxurious apartment, fully equipped and everything was brand new and really high quality. Thank you for providing tea, coffee and milk on arrival. Lovely surprise to find wind shield, sun umbrella and even sand bucket provided! Felt really safe arriving just as Covid restrictions were easing, sanitiser in car park and everything had been carefully risk assessed and planned for. The warm shower on return from the beach was a nice touch. Did not use the pool/gym facilities, but my daughter used the gym regularly and was able to book easily. Maintenance staff responded immediately when the sliding doors would not close. No views from that particular apartment, but immediate access to sunny terrace and easy access to the beach. Beach was fantastic and the fact it was so close meant I could go twice a day and still go on other outings, avoiding the local traffic and car park fees. Body boarding recommended as it is not possible to swim in the waves. Weather very touch and go, but that’s England. Stunning coastal path walks and views in the vicinity. Local Tesco was great, I would steer clear of local Lidl (both 10-15 min drive in Ilfracombe). Local Londis at walking distance very convenient, as well as fish and chip shop, Cornish pasties shop and Red Barn pub. Would book again without hesitation if it was not for the considerable drive from London. Thank you for a fab stay!

Challacombe apartments are located at the back of the Byron complex, offering a peaceful location slightly further back from the village and local eateries.

The Challacombe Block is accessible via the Challacombe only lift at the far end of the car park. There are also stairs at this end of the car park which allow you to walk up to the apartments should you prefer.

The Challacombe Block is perfectly located to enjoy the communal leisure deck and the side access steps down to the heated outdoor surf shower and a side access path to the main road.
