We had a a amazing stay at Byron Woolacombe. The apartment and amenities had everything we could of wanted for our family (2 adults and 2 toddlers). It was extremely clean, everything was immaculate and furnished to a very high standard. Use of the swimming pool and other facilities was great. Check and check out was efficient. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Wonderful stay at 2 middlecombe,2nd stay at this apartment and 3rd stay at Byron. Everything you require is available making it home from home, particularly great for dogs being on the ground floor. Will be returning for the 4th time. We had a truly wonderful few days, help available with regular texts should you require anything.

The family and I visited Byron Wollocombe in early July 2021. We had a very nice stay, the apartment was a great size, well furnished, all mod cons and the little extras like milk in the fridge, tea bags etc were a nice first impression. the Kitchen was well equipped with everything you'd need for cooking family meals. Having a washer, dryer was helpful too with little kids and the small fridge and compact freezer was ok size for the essentials. The wider complex is very well maintained and having access to the facilities such as pool and gym (required booking in advance) was a nice added benefit. We found the staff and cleaning staff to be polite, friendly and always willing to help. The location is amazing, really convenient for beach days, a few mins walk away. The beach is one of the best in the UK and large enough not to feel crowded even on a busy sunny day. if your a surfer the waves are pretty good most of the time too! There are local restaurants/places to grab a bite, a local Londis, chemist, news agents and beach/surf shops etc on the doorstep which are handy if you aren't travelling by car or don't want to drive. Wollocombe is a good base for exploring the local area by car with easy access to local supermarkets (closest is Tesco, 10 mins away) and attractions under 30 mins away by car. we took day trips to visit the Zoo and Dinosaur park which the kids enjoyed, both had great play areas for the young ones too which was a bonus. The only down sides we encountered were a little difficulty contacting the Bryon staff on arrival, possibly due to the weekend arrival. The instructions for accessing keys were, to be fair, sent in advance, but within a PDF attachment which was difficult to download with the limited mobile network (less than 3G). however, as mentioned, for the rest of the week contact was easy. The mobile signal is not great, probably due to being in a valley (though was low on our travels also) not a problem for switching off from things but if you need to be online then you'll rely on apartment wifi. The only other thing to be aware of is the location is quit hilly, so getting around on foot can be a little challenging for young children or older adults. The area around the front of the apartment and shops etc is fine but pack walking shoes if venturing further afield for costal walks or travelling by public transport. overall we had a great stay, we would definitely recommend Byron and visit Wollocombe again for a staycation.
