  • Check in is from 5pm. Check out at 10am.
  • Please note arrival and departure times are set by the property manager and not Byron. These are subject to change and you will be notified of your confirmed arrival time 7 days before arrival. This includes your access to the allocated on-site parking space also.
  • The apartment is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery.
  • A welcome pack is provided including a pint of milk, tea bags, coffee sticks and cleaning supplies such as a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and a tea towel. These are not replenished during your stay, so please do bring any items with you if you feel you will require these.
  • Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided.
  • WiFi is included. However, the owner nor Byron can be responsible for any issues with connection during your stay.
  • Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted in this property for £35 per pet, per stay.
  • Access to the facilities including indoor heated swimming pool included. Guests are required to book slots via the Byron Complex Booking Page.
  • Travel cot and high chair are available. Please book at the time of booking. Guests will need to provide their own linen and mattress for a travel cot.
  • Please note all our properties are non-smoking, including patios, balconies and communal areas.
  • This apartment has had a feline in - please be aware for allergies.

Great apartment complex right by the beach. The flat was very clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and a very kind welcome package (milk, Easter eggs - thank you!). We felt right at home. Views of the sea, comfy beds, a pool + sauna. Very good management, friendly staff and very straightforward to engage with. A nice personal touch by the owners too, with a whole guide full of fab recommendations. Great apartment complex right by the beach. The flat was very clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and we were very grateful for the very kind welcome package (milk, Easter eggs - thank you!). We felt right at home. Views of the sea, comfy beds, a pool + sauna. We appreciated the towel rails being on (on a timer it seemed, but well timed). The temperature of the flat was perfect and needed no intervention. We appreciated the washing machine and finding a broom - we were there for a whole week, so we needed some cleaning in amongst it. Very good management, friendly staff and very straightforward to engage with. A nice personal touch by the owners too, with a whole guide full of fab recommendations. We weren't sure if these were generic or actually selected by the flat owners. Either way, a very nice touch. Easy parking and access. We will definitely be back if you’ll have us! Excellent communication re arrival, checkin and checkout process both of which were straight forward and uncomplicated Beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could possibly need. Excellent position for exploring the local area and beyond with the added bonus of sea views and your own parking space. Easily accessible onsite facilities - pool and gym with friendly and helpful staff. We loved every minute of our stay here and highly recommend !!! Look forward to returning.

Wonderfully spacious and exceptionally clean apartment. Met all our needs for a very relaxing stay on the North Devon coast. Plenty of fresh air and walks on the stunning Woolacombe beach. A wonderful time of year to be there avoiding the crowds but with enough open to enjoy meals out and sit in cafes/bars enjoying views of the sea and surfers. Time also spent on the balcony in the afternoon sunshine and later on enjoying the sun go down with a gin! We only used the car once all week – an added bonus! Would highly recommend.

"We enjoyed a fabulous week staying in 1 Rockham in the Byron Apartments, Woolacombe. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped with a stunning view of Woolacombe beach from the balcony. The balcony provided a place to see some amazing sunsets over the bay. It was a good time to visit the area outside of the main holiday season. We were able to explore, enjoying coastal walks, bike rides and body boarding. Although we did have some rain it was great to have an indoor swimming pool and sauna on site to enjoy at our leisure. The place also had books, jigsaw and Monopoly, although we didn't have time to do any of these activities! We would highly recommend the place and look forward to another visit when we are back in the UK

We recently spent a great few days at 1 Rockham. The apartment is close to the sea front and really makes the most of the Woolacombe location, with views over the beach and out to sea. Woolacombe’s shops, pubs, and restaurants are easy to get to, and the fish and chips is a good alternative for when you don’t fancy cooking (though the kitchen is well equipped). It also gives immediate access to the many local walks, and we explored the coastal path in both directions, visiting the Baggy Point and Morte Point landmarks, indulging in some seal-spotting along the way. The apartment sits within a modern development and is very well appointed, comfortable, spacious, and welcoming – the 1 Rockham jigsaw is a great institution, making us feel immediately at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we hope to return sometime.

What a wonderful place for an Autumn break! We had marvellous coastal walks from the door, taking in Morte Point, the Beach, Baggy Point and more. Staying in November we were delighted to find Woolacombe had plenty of good places open for eats & drinks and we really loved the crowd-free ambience. Rockham 1 was a super base to come back to, comfortable & well-equipped. The jigsaw is excellent!

My partner and I from the U.S. had the opportunity to visit this lovely town and stay at 1 Rockham. We were fascinated to find out that thousands of GIs descended upon the town in WW2 preparing for D-Day launching in Normandy. The flat was ideal - spacious, comfy, well equipped and decorated. Wi-Fi is great, and there are large screen TVs in the living area and master bedroom. There is a balcony for viewing the stunning sunsets and lounge chairs for sunbathing in the warmer months. Woolacombe has been voted best beach in the country and deservedly so. The Coastal beaches are pristine, the waves are great, and ogling the surfers is a great pastime. The Coastal walks are beautiful along the unspoiled cliffs, with occasional seal sightings in the rocks below. Supermarket, great fish and chips and all the necessities are available.”

We really enjoyed our weekend break in an “out of season seaside holiday town” along with Maisie and Milly, our two Westies. Maisie loved running on the long beach, splashing in the sea, exploring the dunes, and that there were plenty of other dogs to Grrr at in the street; Milly, as befits an older dog, had a quieter and peaceful time. We walked on the coastal path to Puttsborough Beach café, and Maisie and I continued around Baggy Point to Croyde and back. Apartment is amazing with loads of space, great views from the balcony and superb sunsets. Looking forward to our next visit.

Everything was perfect; with generous sized rooms, sea views and everything brand new and in perfect working order. The location was marvellous with close proximity to the beaches and wide choice of eating places. Other things which made our stay so special were the very warm welcome we received at the church on the opposite side of the road to the Byron office and the open beach to the south, which took me back to the 1960s when I used to go a walk on the beach every morning before work.

We stayed at Rockham 1 last week. It is spacious, high spec accomodation very close to the 3 mile sandy Woolacombe beach. It is superbly designed for easy living, with comfy lounge, kitchen and dinning area very airy and bright due to its large windows and balcony. The apartment is maintained to a superb standard, with communal areas including pool sauna and gym similarly impressive. Overall everything you need!”

“We spent a wonderful week at 1 Rockham over the October half term holiday. The apartment is clean, bright, modern and well equipped. The pool and games room facilities are great and were much appreciated, especially by the kids (aged 8 & 4). The beaches are amazing; the kids loved rock-pooling and shell searching on Barricane Beach, and surf lessons and building sandcastles on Woolacombe Beach. We did lots of lovely little local circuit walks for little legs. Funder Island got a massive thumbs up from the kids too, especially when it was followed by ice-cream/waffles from the little street hut. Lots of choice for eating out, Gobblebox was super-yummy. A fab holiday, will be booking again!”

Had a great holiday in this fabulous apartment. Can highly recommend spending your hols here. The apartment is stylish and luxurious. It was extremely clean with all mod cons. The beds were super comfortable. It has a good size balcony with sea views. Its location is superb for the beach, shops and restaurants as well as lots of coastal and inland walks. There is also a swimming pool and sauna within the complex as well as a garden/communal area. There are plenty of things to do and very much looking forward to holidaying there again. We had a great stay at 1rockham! The apartment is really lovely and spacious, with beach views from the balcony. It's also thoughtfully kitted out with everything you'd need. The swimming pool and sauna were a highlight, as were the friendly staff. The apartment is a stone's throw from the beach, with great cafes, restaurants and shops only a moment away. There's plenty to do in the local area too, with wonderful beaches, walks and wildlife all around!

We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing holiday in a beautifully appointed apartment. Even a welcoming cuppa was available on our arrival. As much as possible had been done to make us welcome. The apartment was spotless and the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The swimming pool is also a very clean and relaxing area. Flat is in a fantastic location with views of and close to the incredible beach. The Byron development itself is superb quality and brand new this year. Good size indoor pool and sauna complemented by a well-equipped gym. Very well equipped kitchen, which is part of large and light diner/lounge, made self-catering a joy. Large comfy beds with excellent mattresses so good nights’ rest which you’ll need after sampling the incredible walks all around Woolacombe - you can start these from the flat. Highly recommended for a stay next to one of Britain’s very best beaches

We had wonderful stay in this luxurious 2 bed apartment. Everything was immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony where we could sit out and enjoy a meal with a sea view. We had a lovely swim in the indoor pool and relaxed in the sunshine in the communal gardens. It’s a 3 minutes walk from the beautiful Sandy Woolacombe beach and the South West coastal path with absolutely stunning views. We highly recommend it and we will definitely be going back.

Rockham apartments are located at the side of the Byron complex, and are well located for access from Sandy Lane down to the beach.
