To make your stay as safe and enjoyable as possible, please see our new measures below that we ask you to take time to read and assess. We ask that you please adhere to government regulations, social distancing guidelines and hand washing recommendations during your stay.

Please follow these guidelines throughout your stay and do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions at all.

*Please note that Byron Apartments and services may be caveat to short notice change or withdrawal due to government guidance*.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our priority.

We are reviewing all areas of our operation to keep our staff and guests as safe as possible and ensure we implement the necessary protocols and measures that are in line with the Government guidance.

The Housekeeping Team is of course taking extra precautions to protect the health and wellbeing of our guests throughout Byron also.

Pre – Arrival

Prior to your stay we ask you take the time to read this carefully. If you answer yes to any of the questions below, we ask that you notify our team and do not travel to Byron. We can arrange deferrals of stays as necessary. 

  1. Are you classified or live with someone who is classed as a vulnerable person (elderly, underlying health condition, clinical condition or pregnant).

2. Are you, or is anyone living with you, ill with symptoms of Covid-19? (Are you showing symptoms).

Car Park and Key Collection

Ensure that you have provided your car registration for our ANPR system in order to avoid any car parking fines. All apartments have one private space, if the apartments are at full capacity which is expected throughout high season dates (May Half Term-September and school holidays/BH) then we are unable to offer any additional spaces. Please ensure you have read below for information on additional spaces ahead of your stay.

Our postcode is EX34 7BS. You can’t miss Byron as you enter Woolacombe, when you see the building just follow it along until you can take your first right turn (Sandy Lane). That will take you up to our car park entrance (on your right).

If possible please stagger your arrival time and do not arrive before the check-in time.

Please give way in the car park and respect social distancing as per government guidelines.

Park only in your dedicated parking bay, details can be found in your arrival email.

Allow person parked adjacent to you to enter/exit their car before entering/exiting yours.

There is hand sanitiser next to the Key Safe Room entrance.

Please use this before entering the room.

Only one person in the key room at a time.

Please queue for this room if necessary, maintaining social distance as per government guidelines from the guest in front of you.

Only touch your apartment key safe. All are labelled with the name of each property.

For security & management, we have only been given one set of keys by the owners for guest use. Please do not ask staff to provide a second key as they do not have access to any. We suggest that if you are in larger groups, or splitting off, to use the key safe to hold the key so whoever gets back to Byron first can let themselves in.

Locating your Apartment

Please use the instructions sent pre-arrival for full details.

Use the designated lift as instructed.

Hand sanitise before entering the lift.

New*** Please wear face masks in communal areas at Byron such as Reception.

Single households / household clusters to use lift only at a time.

Where possible a single file system is advised in the corridors and please allow for social distancing as per government guidelines.

Only one household / household cluster to use the stairways at a time. Please allow space for people/groups to exit the staircase and maintain social distancing.

Masks are encouraged to be worn in corridors / lifts / stairways.

Your Apartment 

Wash your hands on a regular basis as per Government guidelines.

Your apartment is only for use of your own household cluster / household bubble during your stay. 

*Should there be a case where we must close off your booked apartment we will look to place you in a suitable alternative or refund if necessary. 

Deliveries onto site must be done adhering to social distancing and taking care of handling and passing over of items. If possible, please ensure you take all items i.e. supermarket delivery from the carpark to your room yourself.

We encourage guests who will be self-catering to consider bringing food with them for their stay from the supermarkets they have been accustomed to shopping in through out lockdown. Another option is to use the nearby supermarkets, most of which offer a click and collect service:

Feeling Unwell?

Please be aware during your stay of the following: 

If you show symptoms you need to return home immediately and follow Government Self Isolation protocol
When using lifts and stairs, ensure this is done with your own family and try to maintain a safe social distance from other guests, as per government guidelines, at all times.

If you find yourself or a member of your party has symptoms of COVID-19, or is asymptomatic but declares the need to self-isolate, you must advise Byron Woolacombe Holidays and check-out and return home to self-isolate according to current government guidance.  

If you or a member of your party has acute symptoms, breathing difficulties or life is at potential risk, seek medical help immediately. 

We need to collect certain information from you, including (where applicable) name, address, age of party members, mobile phone numbers and any other special requirements which may affect your arrangements. Your details will be passed to NHS track and trace if applicable.
