North Devon’s ‘Cleanse and Clean’ campaign promotes plastic-free beaches

For the last couple months, school children have been giving our beautiful beaches an early spring clean by taking part in Plastic Free North Devon‘s ‘Cleanse and Clean’ campaign. The campaign aims to encourage younger generations to go out litter picking whilst also raising awareness of the environmental impact plastics have when they end up on our beaches. With a chance to win a Dryrobe Advance, children have been loving collecting, bagging, photographing, recycling and binning any rubbish they spot on their walks out in Woolacombe. It’s great to see our beaches and local wildlife benefitting from this brilliant campaign.

Look forward to memorable dining at a choice of three local michelin star restaurants in north devon

In Woolacombe you can enjoy the impeccable culinary delights of Noel Corston, a pioneering chef who’s restaurant is considered to be one of the county’s most exciting hidden gems. Nearby Ilfracombe is now home to Woolacombe born, Michelin Star chef, Thomas Carr, who’s restaurant Thomas Carr 1873 received Michelin Star status just 4 months after opening in September last year. Also in Ilfracombe, set in the harbour area, you’ll find a sophisticated, intimate dining experience at the Michelin starred The Antidote Restaurant
