Explore the best spots on the North Devon coastline

There are so many spectacular coastlines, coves, dunes, headlands and amazing beaches in North Devon, which can be enjoyed all year round.

Whilst we never grow tired of a leisurely stroll along the beautiful and vast Woolacombe beach, we love the Kinever Valley to Bennett’s Mouth  walking trail and at this time of year you can spot the budding snowdrops and enjoy the peaceful secret beach.

Why not have a look at the best dog-friendly walking routes on the National Trust website and start planning your North Devon holiday itinerary.

Plans for zero plastic on North Devon’s stunning beaches

North Devon District Council are considering banning polystyrene bodyboards from being sold in local shops. The council has recognised the negative impact on the natural environment that types of cheap, polystyrene bodyboards can have, including a danger to wildlife and the ocean.

The council recognises the plastic polystyrene bodyboards are popular because they’re so cheap, but because of this they’ve become almost a single use, disposable item, with many people just leaving these often broken boards, on the beach. Instead, the council is endorsing the rental of bodyboards and has committed to writing to all national supermarkets within the region to request they remove the sale of the cheap polystyrene bodyboards.

When you book with Byron, you could also look forward to an adrenaline-packed day of coasteering and jumping off rocks into the sea, or a more relaxing afternoon taking a kayak-guided tour around the dramatic North Devon coastline discovering secret beaches and coves.

Both novices and the more experienced can make fun-filled memories with stand-up paddle boarding, surf lessons, coasteering, kayaking, or even kayak-coasteering – all at discounted prices.
