Guest Experience & Facilities Assistant

Location: Byron Woolacombe Holidays, Woolacombe, North Devon
Contract: Seasonal
Pay: National Minimum Wage (or applicable age-related rate)

Do you enjoy meeting people, working independently, being active and helping create memorable holiday experiences?

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Guest Experience & Facilities Assistant to join the Byron Woolacombe team during our busy summer season.

This is a varied role that combines guest interaction, holiday hamper deliveries to our apartments, facilities support and helping ensure our guests enjoy a seamless and memorable stay. You’ll be one of the friendly faces of Byron, helping create the warm welcome and exceptional experience that our guests return for year after year.

No two days are the same, and you’ll play an important part in helping guests relax, reconnect and make the most of their time by the sea.

About the Role

As our Guest Experience & Facilities Assistant, you’ll support guests throughout their stay while helping to maintain the smooth running of our onsite facilities.

From delivering holiday hampers and assisting arriving guests to carrying out facility checks and ensuring communal areas remain welcoming and well-presented, you’ll be a key part of the guest experience.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in doing a great job and genuinely enjoys helping people.

Hours & Contract

Proposed Hours: 12pm – 8pm

Proposed Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday

These are the anticipated hours and days required to support guest arrivals, facilities management and hamper deliveries during our busiest periods. However, for the right candidate, some flexibility may be available, provided the needs of the business continue to be met.

The initial contract is expected to run from 1st July to 1st September 2026, with the potential for additional hours and seasonal work during other busy holiday periods, including:

  • October Half Term
  • Christmas
  • New Year

This role may therefore suit someone looking for a summer position with the opportunity to return for future seasonal work at Byron.

  • Monitor the presentation and cleanliness of communal areas.
  • Complete regular spot cleaning and facility checks throughout the day as needed.
  • Carry out lift checks.
  • Complete end-of-day pool testing.
  • Close and secure facilities at the end of each day.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Guest Journey Enhancements

  • Support guest engagement initiatives and seasonal activities.
  • Assist with special touches that help enhance the guest experience.
  • Help promote Byron Club our return bookings scheme to encourage repeat bookings.

  • Practical and willing to get involved.
  • Confident spotting issues and taking ownership of resolving them.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, customer service, retail or holiday letting would be beneficial but is not essential.
