YOUR HOLIDAY ITINERARY FOR A WEEK IN WOOLacombe in October Half term!

To make your stay easier we have created a Holiday Itinerary for a week in Woolacombe for October Half-Term!

October is a wonderful time of year to enjoy all that North Devon has to offer. You can relish the beach at its quietest moments, as well as enjoying easy access to a whole host of delicious eateries without any queues. That’s why, to save you the trouble, we’ve put together an itinerary of recommended things to do when you holiday with us this October. Whether you’re visiting Woolacombe for a romantic couples getaway, an action-packed family weekend, or to catch up with friends, there’s something for everyone at Byron. Read on below for ideas on how to spend a week in Woolacombe this month.

If you haven’t already booked a stay at Byron at Woolacombe Bay, check out our latest availability. Browse our range of luxury, apartments available for stays here

Saturday: Explore Woolacombe Beach

Once you’ve arrived and parked up at Byron, we’d recommend checking in, dropping your bags then heading straight to the beach for an afternoon walk to stretch out your legs. Stop by for an ice-cream in the village, or enjoy an iconic Gobblebox Sandwich. For dinner, you can’t beat a tasty fish and chips at Squires in Braunton!

Sunday: Walk to Mortehoe

Sundays are made for relaxing. So what better way to start the day than with a walk to Mortehoe and brunch in Meraki Café? After a tasty meal, enjoy a fun day of coasteering with Nick Thorn Surf School. Refuel with a scrumptious roast dinner at The Kings Arms, SQ Braunton or Brundle’s Woolacombe

Monday: Visit Croyde Beach

On Monday, why not spend the day in Croyde, just fifteen minutes south of Woolacombe? Renowned for its excellent beach, it’s a popular choice for surfers – so don’t forget to pack your board! An easy walk around the village is also a must for enjoying its unique olde worlde feel. If you’re feeling peckish, there’s plenty of options for a locally-sourced lunch.

Tuesday: Take the Kids to rosemoor gardens

If you and the family love Halloween just as much as we do, we’d say to head to Rosemoor Gardens just less than an hour’s drive south of Woolacombe. With pumpkin painting, crafty leaves and sow and grow events running throughout Half Term from 10am – 5pm, it’s a great way to keep the children entertained this October.

Wednesday: Visit Clovelly Village

Take a trip to the picturesque village of Clovelly, also known as Britain’s Most Instagrammable Village 2020. With it’s pretty cobbled streets and ancient harbour, it’s not hard to see why. If you’re in the area on Wednesday 27th October, be sure to stop by for their renowned Apple Day. There will be lots of lovely apple crafts and activities, as well as live music and a Farmers Market.

Thursday: Private dining with coastal cooks

Why not make a weekday evening extra special with Coastal Cooks‘ exclusive private chef service headed by Chef Graham Brundle? Enjoy unique, private dining with the best local produce in the comfort of your own luxury apartment. What’s more, all Byron guests can enjoy free canapés with their first booking with the code BYRONCOOKS.

Friday: Take to the pool

On Friday, we’d recommend taking it easy and enjoying our heated pool, treatment room, gym and games room on-site. It’s the perfect activity for those rainy days, but for those who still fancy getting outside, there’s stunning walks to be had along Spekes Mill Mouth Waterfall which is particularly impressive with autumn rain fall.

Available to book now for a minimum of three nights from £450, take a look at our range of luxury holiday apartments and penthouses available for October here. We flag all dog-friendly apartments with a paw print. ?
