Arriving By Car

Tiverton is 42.2 miles approximately (1 hour 10 minutes)

  • Traveling on the M5 leave at Junction 27 signposted for Tiverton and Barnstaple
  • Follow the signs for the A361 to Barnstaple
  • Continue along the A361 through Braunton towards Ilfracombe
  • When you reach Mullacott roundabout turn left to Woolacombe, the B3343
  • Follow the road into Woolacombe and Byron will be on your right
  • Drive past Byron and turn Right on to Sandy Lane
  • You will find the Byron Underground Car Park on the Right

Scenic Car Route

If you would prefer a more scenic route along the coastline, you can choose to get off the motorway at either Taunton or Bridgwater and head for Minehead to enjoy traveling through Dunster, Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, Combe Martin and Ilfracombe taking the opportunity to stop for lunch or walk the dog on Exmoor.  Making the most of your journey!
