Woolacombe’s Brian Watts celebrated his 90th birthday surfing at Coombesgate Beach

Woolacombe is renowned as a surfers’ paradise and it was wonderful to see one of Woolacombe’s favourite locals celebrating his 90th birthday with a surf at Combesgate Beach, Woolacombe. Brian is a well-known face around the village, often seen out walking, or chest deep in water catching lobsters and crabs, so it’s no surprise he took to his board to celebrate his milestone birthday.
