covid -19

Coronavirus Notice – We would like guests to know that we will update this page regularly as to your stay at Byron.

CORONAVIRUS LATEST INFORMATION

Following the latest hotels and other guest accommodation guidance, we are pleased to confirm that all guest accommodation can open for leisure stays including guest access to our on-site leisure facilities, which includes the sauna and games room. Please continue to adhere to government regulations, social distancing guidelines and hand washing recommendations during your stay.

1. pre-arrival questions

If you answer yes to any of these questions’ below, we ask that you notify our team and do not travel to Byron. Please contact our team immediately.

  • Have you or anyone coming to Byron tested positive for Covid 19?
  • Have you been advised by NHS Track & Trace or a recent contact who has since been confirmed to have COVID 19 to isolate?
  • Are you awaiting the test results of a PCR test?

2. onsite measures & CHanges

lease follow these guidelines throughout your stay and do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions at all.

Please note the following:

  1. Where possible a single household system is advised in the corridors and lifts
  2. The pool is bookable up to three households maximum (12-15 people capacity) via online booking form
  3. We ask that those using the games room sanitise their hands before use, and use the sprays and wipes provided prior to using the facilities.
  4. Please hand sanitise before and after touching surfaces such as doors and lifts.
  5. Property Managers have updated their covid safety cleaning and maintenance measures, more information can be found here.
  6. We ask for understanding should any of our facilities and help desk hours have to change at short notice. Our team is a small team of core staff, so even one or two staff members having to self-isolate has a huge impact on how they can operate, and in many instances means that facilities will be forced to close or reduce their opening hours/days.
  7. If you show symptoms you need return home immediately and test. Please advise Byron Woolacombe Holidays via phone and check-out and follow Government Self Isolation protocol.

3. Deferrals / Rebooking

Within 6 weeks of the stay, as per our terms and conditions please note the following:

  1. The booking fee (30% deposit) is non refundable from the time of booking.
  2. The full balance is non refundable from the time of full payment 6 weeks or later if paid within this time.
  3. No refunds or deferrals are an option.
  4. All management decisions are final.
  5. Please ensure you have travel insurance to cover any eventualities that will stop you from making your trip to Byron.
  6. Where you seek to defer outside of the 6 weeks prior to arrival, management will look at your request on a case by case basis.

4. national lockdown

In these uncertain times, it is reassuring to know that if you are unable to travel to take your holiday because of a national or local lockdown, Byron will guarantee that you will get a full refund. Please note that the refund guarantee applies only to the address given on the booking at the time of booking being put in a lockdown, and when the travel restriction coincides with the period of your holiday. Confirmation of inability to travel must be sent via email in order to facilitate changes.

The refund guarantee covers national and local lockdowns, but does NOT cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) are required to quarantine or self-isolate due to covid. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance to ensure a full refund. There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with covid and self-isolation (example links below), and a lot of bank annual travel policies also cover this. Alternatively, you can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as Compare the Market and GoCompare. We are not selling, promoting, endorsing or recommending any particular product, and do not benefit financially from, nor have any formal relationship with, any of these providers. Coverwise , Allianz Assistance , Trailfinders

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@bwhlholidays.co.uk or 01271 269191.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Take care and stay safe,
The Byron Team
